About Cave Creek Baseball Academy

Cave Creek Baseball Academy was founded on a simple belief: young players develop best with professional-level instruction, real repetitions, and coaches who care about the kid as much as the player. At our private training facility in Cave Creek, we teach baseball, strength and weight training, and nutrition — and we build friendship, character, and faith along the way.

Coach Gianni, CCBA Founder

  • Drafted in the 4th round of the 1988 MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds straight out of high school in Chicago
  • Former professional player with 30+ years of coaching experience at the high school, junior college, and elite youth levels
  • Became a head college coach at just 25 years old, leading Morton Junior College in Illinois
  • Built successful high school programs in Illinois and Arizona, including a state championship-caliber team at Notre Dame High School in Illinois
  • Recruited to Arizona to build the baseball program from the ground up at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Scottsdale, leading them to three consecutive Arizona State Championship appearances
  • Head Coach at Cactus Shadows High School for over a decade, advancing players to D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and junior college programs
  • Developed 10 MLB draft picks and 3 Major League players
  • 500+ career coaching victories, including 415+ in Arizona
  • Multiple-time Region Coach of the Year
  • Creator of one of Arizona’s premier baseball environments — the Cactus Shadows field has been recognized multiple times among the state’s best facilities
